Our registry helps facilitate access to important documentation for your assistance dog or emotional support dog (ESD). This service includes offering registration renewal reminders, important updates about laws affecting service and support animals, and access to our 24/7 support line to assist you in case you encounter any issues at public venues.

Registration Process:

• Once registered, you’ll receive a unique ID number for your dog and official documentation that you can present when necessary.

• Annual renewals are required to keep your registration active, which must include proof of your dog’s most recent vaccinations and an updated photo.

Renewal and Membership:

• Your membership must be renewed every year. This includes updating your dog’s vaccination records and submitting a current photo.

• Our funding is derived solely from membership fees and renewals. We do not accept donations or contributions from government departments, corporations, or private individuals.

What Registration Does:

• Assistance Dogs: Registering your dog as a Service Dog / Psychiatric Service Dog through our platform helps to ensure that you receive the support and legal protection you are entitled to, such as access to public spaces and accommodations.

• Support Dog Services: While our registration does not officially designate a dog as an assistance dog, it provides the necessary documentation that may be required when accessing certain rights.

• If your dog is not yet trained to perform tasks to assist you, please consider our Make Your Dog a Service Dog program.

Financial Transparency:

• The majority of the fees we collect go directly to supporting dog rescue organizations, the Psychiatric Service Dog Association Limited, and cover our operating costs, such as web hosting, server maintenance, and other backend services.

• Payments are securely processed through Stripe and PayPal to ensure your personal information remains protected.

Refund Policy:

• You may cancel your registration within 24 hours of purchase for a full refund. After this time, we cannot issue any refunds.

The cost for a full 12-month Registration & Membership is 49 USD, 49 EUR, 39 GBP or 69 CAD. This registration provides you with access to necessary documentation and support throughout the year.

Please note, our registration process is not a “one-time” event—your documents must be renewed annually, along with your dog’s full vaccination records and most recent photo. Our organization is not a charity; our funding comes solely from membership registrations and renewals. We are committed to using the majority of our proceeds to support adoption and training programs, helping individuals with disabilities access trained support animals.

IMPORTANT: REGISTRATION DOES NOT MAKE YOUR DOG AN OFFICIAL SERVICE DOG

While registering your dog as an Assistance Dog offers several benefits, it does not make your dog an official service dog. Service dog status requires specialized training for performing specific tasks related to your disability. BEWARE OF SERVICE DOG SCAMS

Unfortunately, the rise of online scams targeting support dog owners is a significant issue. Many websites falsely claim to offer an “official” government registry for service animals or emotional support dogs. There is no government registry for these animals—any website suggesting this is likely trying to deceive you.

If a website insists on registering your animal as a requirement or claims it’s an official registry, it’s probably a scam. Always be cautious and make sure you’re registering with a reputable, trusted organization like AssistanceDogPartners.org.
